GLASSY BRASS $225.00 Handcrafted fused glass trumpet 13" x 4" This glass, trumpet incorporates fused glass and colors of a jazz, trumpeter;s call to swing. The body has pieces of glass stringer, which are bent to show the field of movement throughout the instrument. And the inclusion of colored glass frit, for a nod to staccato tongue in musical inflections. They move . the music along through the instruments tubing. Along with a piece of heavier glass as a solid base, this instrument of fused glass brings forth the spunk of the brass section in a musical combo. And this piece could not have come about without the use of a high tech machine called a water, jet cutter, which helped me to cut out certain parts of the trumpet to allow it to be looking like an actual trumpet.
